Pada Selasa (29/7/2020) Emmy telah mengumumkan daftar nominasi Emmy Award 2020 atau gelaran Emmy ke-72. Netflix sebagai platform layanan streaming menjadi yang paling banyak mendapatkan nominasi yaitu sebanyak 160 nominasi. Selain itu, HBO di posisi kedua mendapat 107 nominasi.
Emmy Awards merupakan ajang penghargaan untuk tayangan televisi. Para nominasi Emmy Awards 2020 berasal dari kumpulan acara TV yang memenuhi syarat yaitu tayangan TV yang ditayangkan di Amerika Serikat antara 1 Juni 2019 dan 31 Mei 2020.
Puncak acara Emmy Awards sekaligus pengumuman pemenang akan dilaksanakan pada tanggal 28 Juli.
